Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This is where you should answer the most common questions prospective customers might have. It’s a good idea to cover things like your return policy, product warranty info, shipping and returns, etc. Check out the examples below.

What is the frame made of?

Mirror Framing frames are made of a poly-resin blended material that is completely water and moisture proof.

Why is the frame larger than the mirror?

The frame will extend slightly beyond the mirror’s edge where possible to allow for maximum coverage of the mirror when viewed, even from the side.

Do you sell mirror to go with frames?

Yes! We offer beveled or flat plate mirrors to go with the frame or we sell frames to retro-fit existing plate glass bathroom mirrors that are currently on the wall.

Can you see the mirror edge around frame?

Where there is space we extend the frame beyond the mirror up to 5/8 inch to create the illusion that the raw edge of the mirror is covered. If your mirror has zero clearance on a side then we do not extend the frame on that side and the frame will be flush with the edge of the mirror. Please note - our frames DO NOT wrap around the edge of the mirror

What is the difference between channels and clips?

A channel is a j-shaped piece of metal that usually runs the width of the mirror on the bottom and the mirror sits in this channel. Clips come in a variety of styles. You will usually find 2-3 clips on the top and bottom of your mirror. Occasionally they will be on the side. It is best to remove clips from the side of your mirror. The clips can be metal or plastic. Mirror Framing frames are designed to cover the channel and your existing clipts will be replaced.

Can we remove the from the mirror if are going to remodel?

Yes. If you have the frame overlay and it must come off we recommend using dental floss or fishing line to separate the industrial strength adhesive from the mirror. We suggest you use Goof-Off, or a citrus-based cleaner to remove the rest of the tape from the surface of the mirror, along with a scraper like a razor blade. Please understand that we cannot guarantee that your frame would be usable should you choose to remove it. E-mail info@mirrorframing.com for removal instructions. It will be necessary for us to send you replacement industrial strength adhesive.

If you have a frame and mirror combo from us, the mirror and frame are designed to comoff as a single unit, making remodels incredibly easy. Just be careful not to damage the mirror during transport or storage.
